• Never engage in or tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
• Never engage in bullying, intimidation or harassment
• Speak to my team-mates, the opposition, spectators and my manager with respect
• Remember we all make mistakes
• Win or lose with dignity.
• Shake hands with the opposing team and the referee at the end of every game
• Be an ambassador for my club Wigan Walkers FC
The committee would like to emphasise that they hope and indeed fully expect to avoid the need for any disciplinary action through the continued good conduct of the members (as is currently the case).
Nonetheless where a code of conduct is adopted there needs to be some provision in place to deal with any repeated or serious breaches of such Code.
In the event we ever need to act in this regard, then verbal or written warnings could ensue. In addition, there could follow suspension from a session(s) or ultimately a requirement to leave the club in the most extreme cases.
