This article provides members with details of the events module and how to sign up for events

Who needs to know?

Any member who wishes to sign up for the regular Wednesday session can now also do so via direct acces to the event in MyClubhouse.  Once the event has been advertised you will receive an email.  Just click on the link in the email and sign in to the event.  If you refresh your browser you will see you name on the attendance list.  You can also sign in another person, either a member or guest, as required.

Any event organiser who wants to advertise a new event can do so in this module.  Contact Mike Fergie or another Committee member who will set up the event for you and give you the necessary permissions to manage the event activity.

What has changed?

You are being offered an alternatve to waiting for the booking window to open.  You can now enter at any point following the advertising of the event, which will be notified by email.  Once registered you will receive an email confirming that your registration has been received.  You can also withdraw from the event if necessary.  Just go to the event page, scroll down and hit the withdraw button.  This will trigger an email to the organiser and one to you to confirm that you have been withdrawn.

You can now see all events in one place making it easier for you to decide which events you wish to join.

Where can this information be found?

As well as the email, you can also navigate to the events page to sign-in or manage your involvement.  Look out for the event link on the homepage or select "Events" >"Events Calendar" from the menu.  Click on the link to open and sign up.  A link to the events calendar is also included below.
